Audrey’s Apocolyptic predictions…not so catastrophic

So if you’ve been following my twitter feed you probably know I was attending the OpenEd Conference in Utah last week. Amazing stuff and you’ll be hearing about a lot of it over the next few weeks from me. Among the keynotes was one of my favorite writers right now, Audrey Watters. This was the first chance I’d had to hear her speak and i was not disappointed. Audrey tried to put a little perspective of the dooms day predictions around the end of education as we know it that have been filtering out with the hype of MOOCs and other such monsters. With a Master’s degree in folklore she spun a well researched keynote explaining why the end of the world was not about to take down the bricks and mortar, virtual or otherwise. Have a look for yourself.
